The Natural History Museum has selected Ashdown Controls to provide a further three years' BMS maintenance services, backed by Evolve's 24/7 online Energy Operations Centre.
Ashdown has worked with the NHM via its FM provider, EMCOR, for 5 years, providing a permanent presence on site during working hours, with 24-hour callout if necessary, covering three sites in the South of England.
Temperature and humidity controls are crucial to maintain a stable environment for the NHM's valuable archives; there are also some parts of the site that house taxidermy chemicals, which have a low flash-point, hence the temperature control is absolutely vital as a health and safety issue.
