Darlington Hospital

Evolve Energy are working with Laing O'Rourke in the renewal of Darlington Memorial Hospital's primary engineering upgrades to its main site in Darlington.  The replacement of the engineering services will provide the trust with the required infrastructure, allowing them to provide first class patient care both in the immediate future and over the next 25 years.  The state-of-the-art energy centre will also deliver a reduction in energy use on the site, together with a significant reduction in the trust's carbon emmissions, helping towards a sustainable hospital.

Twenty new Air Handling Units have been installed, along with Heat Exchangers, all fitted with dedicated trend BMS controllers and linked back to a Trend 963 supervisor.

This system was integrated with the existing Honeywell platform via a BacNet link to provide one seamless front end to monitor the system.  A fibre optic backbone with switches per floor provides a high speed LAN for the BMS, and also allows for future expansion.  Evolve Energy has also been instrumental in the meters strategy which includes a Monitoring and Targeting package.  This package will ensure the estates team can monitor all energy usage within the upgraded areas, produce full energy usage reports, and allow for future upgrades.
