Apprenticeship Recruitment Drive

Continuing its commitment to recruit young people into the energy industry and invest in their ongoing training and development, the Company has recently offered employment to five apprentices under its Modern Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme.  Ashdown Controls Services based in London have engaged three employees, Sam Knight, Calum Doyle and Laura Ennis - who will be the first female engineer to join this part of the business.

At Nobbs & Jones based in Preston, two additional apprenticeships have been secured; John Moore and Matthew Dewhurst will commence their apprenticeship at the British Nuclear Fuels Training facility and will spend six months learning engineering/electrical foundation skills before joining the business full time in March, where they will learn the complexities of BMS control panel assembly.

The business is fully committed to continuing its support to this initiative and has had a number of successes in recent years with apprentices securing career opportunities including sales account management, project engineering, commissioning and service and maintenance.
