Evolve Energy drives energy efficiencies to Sandicliffe

East Midlands-based car dealership, Sandicliffe is on course to complete an energy reduction scheme that will reduce its annual carbon footprint by 120 tonnes.

Energy management experts, Evolve Energy are leading the project which is set to save the business 15 per cent on its gas, electric and oil usage across 13 of its sites.

Specialist engineers upgraded and installed new lighting, heating and air conditioning equipment at each of the sites as well as sophisticated control systems to remotely manage and monitor their energy use.

From its North West-based Energy Operations Centre, Evolve’s engineers will analyse consumption at each dealership as well as provide a 24-hour response service for the business.

By regularly assessing Sandicliffe’s energy use, Evolve Energy will be able to determine how further reductions can be made in carbon emissions and operating costs.

Neil Fright, managing director of Evolve Energy, said: “We have delivered a thorough energy management system to Sandicliffe that has enabled the business to gain significant, tangible efficiencies at no additional cost through a risk transfer model (Energy Performance Contract).

“With a team of specialist engineers monitoring and evaluating consumption at each of the dealerships, we can expect that the company’s use of valuable resources will be driven down even further in the future."
