Evolve Energy Scoops Double Award

Energy management business Evolve Energy has scooped two Green Apple Awards in recognition of its work in driving down clients’ carbon emissions.
An energy management scheme delivered to The Savoy as part of its multimillion pound refurbishment - which reduced its annual CO2 emissions by 3,000 tonnes - earned Evolve Energy its first award.
The second accolade was given for the business’ work with global biotechnology firm, Biogen Idec, which saw a reduction in annual carbon emissions of 23 per cent and its carbon footprint by 76 tonnes.
The firm competed against more than 100 other nominations from companies across Britain and will be presented with their awards at a ceremony held at the University of Westminster next month.
Evolve Energy works with clients from across a range of sectors including retail, leisure, and manufacturing as well as local government.
The world’s longest running environmental awards scheme has established itself as the country’s major recognition for the efforts among companies, councils, communities and countries.
Colin Tennent, chief executive at Evolve Energy, said: “By monitoring our clients’ energy consumption, we can pinpoint exactly how and where savings can be made to dramatically reduce the negative impact their activity has on the environment.
“These awards are a testament to the great work of our team and the vision of the people we work with.”
